Economy & Balance

Economy & Balance

A few carefully chosen rules keep HavenGrove's emerald economy fair and the world running smoothly for everyone.

A player-driven economy

Emeralds are the lifeblood of HavenGrove. Players earn, trade, and spend them through shops, warps, and villager trading. To keep that economy meaningful, we make a handful of balance adjustments—so no single strategy can flood the market or trivialize progression.

Gameplay

Balance Adjustments

  • Villager breeding is disabled to preserve the emerald economy.
  • Villager trades go on cooldown once every 25 minutes.
  • Villager mending trades cool down every two hours.
  • Common emerald trades (like sticks) cool down every hour.
  • Raids are limited to one per player every 48 hours.
  • Spawner mobs have no AI, making them safe to keep in bases.
  • Fast redstone is limited and breaks if it exceeds 30 pulses.
  • Mob griefing is disabled.
  • The Nether roof is disabled (attempting to reach it applies damage).
  • Mining blaze spawners in the Nether is disabled.

Performance

Per-Chunk Limits

To keep the world lag-free, some blocks and entities are capped per chunk. Plan large builds and farms with these limits in mind.
